On a recent visit by veteran filmmaker and video director, Akin Alabi to Nike art gallery, Mama Nike praised the visual works of Akin Alabi over the years and announced him as his best filmmaker in Nigeria.
This endorsement is happening just as the multi-talented video director, writer and culture archivist, Akin Alabi is set to celebrate his 20years anniversary as a video director with a photo exhibition titled Makoko: Through my eyes.
Akin Alabi is famous for having created award-winning videos for top artistes like 9ice, Onyeka Onwenu, Timaya, Tope Alabi, Ayuba, Frank Edwards, Midnite crew, Sola Allyson, Ada Ehi and many others.
The Photography Exhibition will showcase a curated collection of Alabi’s works, capturing the essence of African culture, human emotions, and the unseen beauty of everyday life. This exhibition is not just a celebration of his photography but a reflection of his artistic evolution in the film industry.
