Ayor AAD is a brilliant, young, and exceptional Entrepreneur who is making his mark in Nigeria’s creative and entertainment space.
Recently we caught up with the workaholic dude who spared us some time from his very busy work schedule and itinerary.
We asked him sundry Questions as it pertains mostly to his business, professional as well as personal life.
The suave and intelligent young man bared it all, below are excerpts from the interview, happy viewing!
Question 1: Let’s meet you:
Ayor AAD: My name is Ayodeji David Ayode popularly known as Ayor AAD, I was born in ondo state on November 27, 1990, I’m the first child of my family, I grow up in Ondo state Nigeria but currently based in Lagos Nigeria.
Question 2. So what really made you go into Entrepreneurship?
Ayor AAD: what really made me go into entrepreneurship is because I’ve always had the dream of becoming a CEO of a company with sterling ideals. A company whose core objective revolves around customer satisfaction.
Question 3. What’s your main focus and expertise as a Businessman cum Entrepreneur?
Ayor AAD: My main focus is to become a great businessman with the requisite skills to add value to society, and also create workable business models that engender productivity
Question 4: What are the challenges of doing business, especially in Nigeria?
Ayor AAD: One challenge I face mainly is a lack of electricity because most of my new clients want me to deliver their work before getting paid for services rendered. I’d have to buy fuel to power my generator to ensure I get the job done. Sadly, the price of fuel in Nigeria at the moment is so much on the high side.
Question 5: You work closely with artists and content creators who you manage, how has that been going especially in a competitive space such as ours?
Ayor AAD: I manage DJ Cozy and Ty Kruz, it has been both amazing and somewhat daunting growing the careers of both of them from the point when they were relatively new in the industry. I will say with every sense of fulfillment that though we have had our ups and downs, overall it has been rewarding.
DJ Cozy as a disc Jockey (who is a Disc Jockey), for over four years now, is doing very well in the music industry, and Ty Kruz who doubles as a producer and artist is been amazing in his own right
The one challenge I always face most of the time is moving from one place to another especially when both of them have different shows and the same night too!
Omo! that’s why I can never put on weight (he laughs)
Question 6: As an Entrepreneur working to make his mark in business and other endeavors, who are your role models?
Ayor AAD: I have a lot of role models when it comes to artist management Don jazzy is my Role model
Then for video directing, TG Omori is my role model
Question 7: Where do we see the Ayor AAD brand in let’s say five years?
Ayor AAD: I want to build a global brand that can compete on the same pedestal as other highly revered and established brands.
Question 8: Any Word of advice for other young and Aspiring Entrepreneurs who wish to go into Entrepreneurship?
Ayor AAD: Don’t give up on chasing your dream and never relent one day you will achieve your goals
Question 9: Are you Married, single, or searching?
Ayor AAD: I’m in a relationship
Question 10: What are your hobbies and other vocations you occasionally indulge in?
Ayor AAD: Generally I love listening to good Music, then Singing, and of course unwinding at the beach
