Boy Doppy, a young and aspiring Nigerian recording and performing artist, is making waves with his singles that are currently dominating the music charts.
Currently based in Nasarawa State, located in the northern region of Nigeria, Doppy is rapidly gaining recognition in the music scene.
BOY DOPPY BIOGRAPHY
Boy Doppy is the only son among his father’s three children. He is the second born in the family. Doppy’s father, Mr. Umar Osu Edekudu, is a reporter at the biggest radio and TV station, popularly known as N.B.S Nasarawa Broadcasting Service. Doppy’s mother, Mrs. Astira Umar Edekudu, is a dentist at the biggest hospital in Lafia, Nasarawa State, North Central Nigeria, known as DASH (Dalhatu Araf Specialists Hospital).
BOY DOPPY EDUCATION
Boy Doppy’s earliest education began in 2008 when he enrolled in ST. JAMES NURSERY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL in Lafia, Nasarawa State, North Central Nigeria.
After graduating from ST. JAMES NURSERY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL in 2014, Boy Doppy continued his education at AUNTY DELE COLLEGE, where he became the social prefect due to his sense of fashion.
Boy Doppy graduated from AUNTY DELE COLLEGE and pursued his tertiary education at the biggest polytechnic in Lafia, Nasarawa State, North Central Nigeria, where he obtained his National Diploma in Estate Management, graduating in 2022.
BOY DOPPY MUSIC CAREER AND HOW IT STARTED:
Boy Doppy’s music career began in 2015 when he accidentally wrote an acapella and recorded it on his phone using an app called TUNE ME. He started sharing the songs he recorded with the app with his siblings and friends, and they all loved his voice and admired his vocals.
In 2020, Boy Doppy hit the studio and recorded his first studio single with the rising Nasarawa State artist, Holly Boy. The song was a massive hit, produced, mixed, and mastered by 47DrKelz, also known as 47 On Da Mix. Click Here to listen. EXHIBITION AND SHOWS:
Boy Doppy’s first recognition as a musical artist came during the student week at his school. Being recognized by his fellow students meant a lot to him. Although Boy Doppy hasn’t won any awards yet, he remains optimistic, saying, “Insha Allah, we are going there.”

Nasty C the South African artist inspired Boy Doppy and he is his greatest influence.
COLLABORATION AND PROJECT:
While Doppy doesn’t have any collaborations yet, he has dozens of unreleased projects in the pipeline. So, stay tuned for more exciting music from him.
