Jeremiah Ochefu also known by his stage name Ooj is a Benue born nigerian singer and songwriter based in Abuja.He was born in Ibadan on the 20th of February,He attended command day secondary school Abuja and has a BSC in physics at the federal university of agriculture Makurdi.
He has been in the Nigerian music industry for over a decade and has done great songs and performed at big stages in Lagos, Abuja, Calabar,Port harcourt, Makurdi etc.
Ooj has done collaborations with arts like Pherowshuz, Terry G, Cupastonce, J sleek, Okizona, Beat Sleengah, Jkobi, SBT, Vinciquest etc,He had worked with producers like j Sleek, Gospel on the beat,Speeroach beatz, Sukeez, Dr benstine, Jeezo beats,Majik, Terry G, Solja boy, Aitama,etc.
The versatile Nigerian artist Ooj has worked with great record labels in the Nigerian music industry like impact records Abuja,owned by Abu Marwa and Hilltop Entertainment owned by Charles Deigh
His influences include Eminem, Michael Jackson, Damian Marley, Jay Z, 2baba, Wyclef, Usher etc.
Ooj started his music career as a rapper but he evolved over a period of time and is now caught up in the Afrocentric wave of the motherland. He just released an EP called ‘Hook, line and singer’ and it is currently gaining global attention and recognition.
