Businessman Alafaa Kariboye-Igbo, also known as OilMoney, is set to receive a major international award as ‘African Business Tycoon Lifetime Achievement’.
The award, which confers on him an international status as a Business Tycoon, will be bestowed on him by the African Fashion Designer Award (AFDA) on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Lagos Oriental Hotel in Lagos.
A statement issued by his public relations officer Prince Fredoo Perry in Lagos and signed by the African Fashion Designer Award , King Dasilva Olasunkanmi, said OilMoney is receiving the award in recognition of his philanthropic activities, which have been well documented.
King Dasilva said that AFDA, being an association of global citizens with peace initiatives, found Billionaire Alafaa Kariboye-Igbo a.k.a OilMoney worthy of appointment as African Business Tycoon Lifetime Achievement, a position which the association said will help provide a global and well recognised platform for him to continue impacting on peace no matter where he finds himself.
African fashion designer award is a platform that embrace the premium beauty of creativity in Africa and is to discover creative people, fashion professionals (both young upcoming individuals and already established brands), college goers between the ages of 18-65years showcase their creativity with respect to locally made designs by providing different online and offline platforms for them to build their businesses.
