Akinremi Olawale’s Wife and Children Abducted by Islamic Extremists Over Participation in Bisexual Activities
The family of renowned businessman Akinremi Olawale has been abducted by Islamic extremists due to his involvement in bisexual activities.
The incident occurred at midnight on August 29, 2023, at his home in Victoria Island, Lagos. According to an anonymous source, the assailants arrived around 3 am. There were approximately twenty of them, armed with various weapons.
Initially, neighbors believed them to be armed robbers, but they soon realized their intended target was Mr. Akinremi Olawale. The anonymous source stated:
“When the assailants arrived, we thought they were armed robbers because there were so many, around twenty (20) in number. Later, we heard them shouting, ‘Akinremi Olawale, come out; we will kill you today. You have messed up our community with your bisexual and unholy behavior.’”
After some time, they proceeded towards Akinremi’s apartment, shouting and using various Islamic names and languages. The extremists forcefully gained access to Akinremi’s apartment. Unfortunately, he was not at home as he had traveled to Canada. However, his wife and children were present and subsequently abducted.
It was reported that the assailants demanded a ransom of $100,000. The anonymous source stated.
Our reporter contacted the Nigerian police, who confirmed the incident.
The police also mentioned that an investigation is ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators.
All attempts to contact extended family members of Akinremi Olawale proved futile.
As of the time of filing this report, Akinremi Olawale’s wife and children remain in the captivity of the extremists.
